Nun, Shatner offensichtlich nicht:
Bei einen Auftritt in der Conan O´Brien-Show konnte Bill
den Vulkan-Gruß nicht (mit seinen dicken Fingern) und wie
er gestand konnte er es wohl auch nie. Dafür zeigte er
gekonnt einen ´Stinkefinger´ was in der amerikanischen
TV-Landschaft so etwas wie einen Faux-pas darstellt.
(Shatners Auftritt war natürlich vorher durch inszeniert).
So erzählt Shatner in seinem 10-Minuten-Auftritt u.a., wie
er eines Nachts an Bahngleisen urinierte und von einer
Frau aus einem Zug beobachtet wurde. Angeblich habe er ihr
daraufhin mit einem zentralen Körperteil zugewinkt.

Part 1
The Enterprise nears Talos 4 , after responding to a follow up message.
Capt. Pike and the landing crew prepare to beam down to Talos 4.
The landing party begins to materialize on the surface of Talos 4 .
After searching , the landing party find the survivors, and among them, Vena.
Capt Pike and Vena are observed by the Talosian´s
Capt . Pike goes with Vena to learn the secret of the survivors ´´ perfect health´´
Captain Pike is captured by the Talosians.
After seeing Capt Pike taken prisoner, the crew attempts to rescue him.
The hand phasers are unable to penetrate the entrance way...

Spock here, there is no survivor encampment #1, we´ve lost the captain!
Captain Pike awakes below the surface, in the cage the Talosians have placed him in.
Capt. Pike see´s that he is not alone,in this underground home to the Talosians.
Captain Pike meets his captors, the Talosians.
The Talosians decide to begin the ´´experiment´´ with a recent death struggle...
Captain Pike suddenly finds himself on Rigel VII , and not alone...
If things weren´t bad already, the Ka-lar shows up at the door...
Captain Pike must fight and kill this giant again to end this illusion...
Captain Pike try´s to keep the Ka-lar at bay , and from getting to Vena...
